Career Decision, Values: Aries
Happy spring! I hope you are well with all that is going on in our world. I re-emerge with love and insight for you. In February, I left a post as a senior career advisor in a healthcare university. The pandemic propelled me to act on my heart’s desire. I love learning new things to fathom people, life, and to empower others – I’ve become a Co-Active coach, brought spiritual guidance into energy healing, and expanded astrology work to help people discern new birth year themes. With a full toolbox, it felt like I was using only a wrench in the last job. I pondered:
How would I serve the world? My reach and impact need to be broader and deeper.
If not now, then when?
It became simple. My values are service, creativity, integrity, innovation, impact, and a pinch of rebel. I chose Connect2Self, integrating career, life, mind, body, and spirit work.
In times of uncertainty, our values shine as our beacon. This past year and as I write, we’ve had to manage many changes. The loss of social contact and mobility, jolted sense of normalcy, our grief for loved ones deeply affect our psyche and wellness. For me, an extravert and a city person, I find myself oddly okay living in isolation, in the sparse, frigid woods of Vermont. Perhaps because I was working toward resonance within.
Almost. I am also sitting here with stitches in my gum. A molar that had weathered years of clenching and grinding had quit. Playing small and safe at that job did it in. I shared on social media the realization of my tendency to hold back words and anger in the jaw to avoid offending others or screwing up. More to heal – I had not shown adequate integrity for myself.
I thanked the tooth, am working on letting go and composting old beliefs. Preparing for the spirit of spring.
Wish you a beautiful 2021 astrological year, starting on March 20th. The energy of Aries is vital, action-oriented, initiating. Like verdant leaves and fresh petals, it sprouts and reaches without hesitation.
